The Italian builder Canados is a hive of activity as the skilled workforce aims to deliver the yard's first 27.8m Oceanic 90 motor yacht to her Russian owner in mid-June 2014.

The twin Caterpillar 1,925 Acert C32 engines, the generators and storage tanks have now been installed and electrical wiring and plumbing are 90 per cent complete. The first deck of the yacht's superstructure is ready too and later in March the upper deck - devoted to the master suite - will be installed.

In another shed the joinery shop has completed the furniture and is currently working on the wood veneers. The owner has chosen a grey colour for the hull while the superstructure will be white.

The Oceanic 90 is scheduled to make her public debut at the 2014 Cannes Boat Show.
