Horizon signs contract for 14th FD87 hull

Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts has signed a contract for the 14th hull in its FD87 superyacht series.

The 26.5 metre Skyline version of the yacht was commissioned by American clients, who previously built and owned a 27.24 metre Horizon E88. The yacht will be the fourth FD87 sold to the US market within 18 months.

Exterior styling comes courtesy of Dutch naval architect Cor D Rover while the interior décor and high-performance wave-piercing bow were designed in-house.

The yacht has been commissioned by American clients who intend to cruise it around the east coast of the US and the Bahamas

The yacht will feature a customised main deck layout, that will see a large country kitchen sit forward in place of the master accommodation. Instead, all guest accommodation will sin on the lower deck, with a full beam master amidships and two VIP staterooms forward and starboard.

Key exterior details include an enclosed skylounge that extends into an al fresco entertainment area aft. An eight-person Jacuzzi tub sits forward of the pilothouse.

Delivery is expected to take place in summer 2020 after which the owners will cruise the east coast of the US and Bahamas.
