Horizon Yachts Australia has signed a contract for the build of a custom FD80 model. The unit was commissioned by a first-time Horizon Yachts owner based in New Zealand and is designed with offshore fishing adventures in mind.
In accordance with the owner’s requirements, the new FD80 will be the first to feature an enclosed stern to accommodate a sportfishing cockpit. Accommodation is for up to eight guests in a four-cabin layout with a split-use skylounge and heated Jacuzzi.
The standard FD80 model without the sportfishing provision
The sale of the 24.5-metre fast displacement “pocket superyacht” was announced at The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in Australia in a joint deal with yacht broker Don Senior. Two more sales were announced at the show including an FD90 unit and an E88 model.
