Ivan Erdevicki of ER Yacht Design has released in-build photos of the Kingcat 80. The 23.9 metre catamaran motor yacht is being specifically built for the Chinese market.

ER Yacht Design is responsible for the Kingcat 80's exterior design and the naval architecture. Construction of the Kingcat 80 is well underway at Chinese builder Kingship Yachts. The Hong Kong-based company has building facilities in ZhongShan port.

The catamaran will be constructed in aluminium alloy. It features a full beam superstructure and a full beam flybridge deck in order to fully maximise the interior living space.

The main deck superstructure is completely surrounded in glass to make this space feel even larger, and doors at the front open out onto the forward deck. This creates a wonderful cross breeze from fore to aft decks.

The Kingcat 80 fully complies with Chinese standards for yachts-CCS, as well as Lloyd’s SSC standards.

ER Yacht Design also prepared all the 3D structural assembly shop drawings for the build. An elegant and modern interior has been created by the shipyard.

The yacht is also available in a tri-deck configuration, which would see a fully enclosed upper deck level with a flybridge deck on top of this.

The Kingcat 80 is nearing completion and will be launched in September 2018.
