News from Kevin Bonnie of the International Yacht Collection that he has closed on the sale of 45.5m Oceanco superyacht Jaan 2, representing the seller, with James Greenwood of De Valk yachts bringing the buyer.

Rather unusually, this is the third time that the 45.5m superyacht Jaan 2 (ex-Anna J and ex-Applause) has been sold this year. 'I'd like to extend thanks to everyone who helped cooperate in selling this boat three times in a year,' says Kevin Bonnie of International Yacht Collection (IYC).

In her most recent sale, Jaan 2 was asking $5.9 million, and as Bonnie tells Boat International,

'In another unusual twist, the buyer demanded the yacht be delivered to the English Channel from Italy to prove it was a good boat. As a testimony to Oceanco quality, she made the trip and overcame six- to eight-metre seas in the Bay of Biscay.'

With exterior and interior design by Oceanco/Richard Hein and the A Group, the all-aluminium, semi-displacement superyacht was built by Oceanco to ABS class in 1994. Oceanco was responsible for the naval architecture. Jaan 2 is all at once comfortable and a high performer; twin 3,045hp MTU engines power her to a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 24 knots, allowing for a wide range of cruising possibilities.

Jaan 2 accommodates guests in one master, three double guest staterooms and two twin cabins. She offers adaptable accommodation options as a five- or six-stateroom yacht, making her ideal for the charter market, as the she boasts a sixth cabin on the upper deck and the lower deck VIP cabin is convertible to a double or twin bed.
