Mangusta launches sixth Oceano 44 superyacht

22 August 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian yard Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has launched the sixth unit in its Oceano 44 series. The 44-metre hit the water at the Group's new build shipyard in Pisa and is on track for a 2026 delivery to her experienced Turkish owner and "true sea lover".

The sixth unit from the series now joins recent sisterships Eva4Eva and The Great Escape, the latter of which was delivered earlier this summer.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, the Oceano 44 is described by the yard as an "overwater villa" said to redefine the concept of sea architecture with large outdoor spaces that "make the most of life at sea".

As such, model highlights include a 104-square-metre sundeck, which is dedicated to wellbeing, an upper deck forward infinity pool, and an expansive aft beach club, complete with an opening transom and fold-down side terraces.

Italian designer Alberto Mancini penned the model's long and contemporary exterior lines, which are accented with broad glazing and semi-transparent aft bulwarks to encourage connectivity with the outdoors, while Italian studio P.L.A.N.A. Design was responsible for the naval architecture.

The interior design and onboard layout for the sixth unit were custom-designed by Mangusta's in-house team in close collaboration with the owner. The yard highlighted the cohesiveness between the interior and exterior of this particular unit, noting her "free-flowing design" and repeated floor-to-ceiling windows.

Designed for long-range cruising, the model offers a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. Meanwhile, the maximum speed reaches 15.5 knots, kept steady by electric zero-speed stabilisers.

Mangusta's sales manager, Nicolò Strocco, who supervised the sale of the sixth hull, commented: "The Turkish market keeps growing and has been gaining strategic importance for Mangusta."

The launch comes at a busy time for Overmarine Group, as, according to data from BOATPro, the Italian yard currently has 19 other units in build or on order. With several popular models in its portfolio, Mangusta recently celebrated the launch of the 12th unit from its GranSport 33 series.
