Turkish yard Mengi Yay has announced the launch of its first major project of 2023. The 23-metre motor yacht, dubbed NB 107, has successfully hit the water at the yard's Tuzla facility ahead of delivery at the end of March.
The yacht has been built in wood epoxy and can accommodate eight guests in four cabins. She has a range of 610 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 14 knots – her top speed is 18 knots.
Designers from the Turkish shipyard headed up the contemporary, neutral interiors; with Azerbaijan-based studio Abbasli Design at the helm of the glossy white exterior and Ginton Naval Architects in charge of engineering.
This boat, which is of “special importance” to the shipyard, comes with unique features including a cleverly-optimised living layout that maximises the spaces to provide optimal onboard comfort.
She also comes with an electric-powered ‘full silent mode’ that can run for up to eight hours. The R&D team has worked to reduce sound in other areas as well, with special features in the fins designed to boost efficiency by 70 per cent and therefore reduce the level of noise in the stern by up to six decibels.
