New photos of Johnson 112 yacht Mitan released

Johnson Yachts has released new photos of its largest model to date, the 34.14 metre Mitan.

The raised pilothouse yacht was sold in May 2017 by Gilman Yachts and delivered earlier this year.

Built from a GRP hull and superstructure, she features in-house naval architecture and exterior lines from Dixon Yacht Design.

Mitan has a 7.2 metre beam and a maximum draught of 2.08 metres

Accommodation is for up to 14 guests in six staterooms, including a main deck master suite, a double cabin and four convertible twin rooms, two of which have pullman berths. Meanwhile, the crew quarters allows for four crewmembers split across two cabins.

External relaxation spaces include a large superyacht sundeck shaded by a custom hardtop Bimini with tender storage space back aft, complete with a 900kg davit crane and room for two Wave Runners as well as a RIB. The sheltered aft deck allows for al fresco meals, while the foredeck sunpads are situated above the master suite and accessed by a small ladder.

Mitan has sportfishing potential with an enclosed cockpit just forward of the bathing platform.

Power comes from a pair of 1,925hp Caterpillar ACERT diesel engines for a top speed of 23 knots and zero-speed ABT stabilisers will ensure a comfortable night at anchor. Vital statistics include a 7.2 metre beam and a maximum draught of just 2.08 metres, which is ideal for exploring shallow cruising grounds.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the yard, include the Johnson 115. Moulding recently began on this 35 metre Bill Dixon-designed project, which features a vertical bow — a radical departure for the Johnson range.
