Turkish shipyard Numarine has launched its first unit 40MXP model, christened Miouch, from its Gebze site.
An evolution of Numarine's popular 37XP model, chairman Ömer Malaz claims that Miouch retains the yard's "high-volume, low-maintenance and long-range" ethos in a larger package. As the flagship build, the 39.1-metre sets herself apart by her extended aft decks, with the upper deck featuring a glass-fronted dip pool.
"I'm happy that the market has exhibited a positive response to this model, with a notable influx of interested boat owners," said Murat Şen, general manager of Numarine. "Three 40MXP hulls were already sold before the first one was launched, which is a great success."
According to the yard, the 40MXP superyacht is a "true global explorer" with a transatlantic range of 6,000 miles at eight knots thanks to an optimised hull form developed by Umberto Tagliavini.
MXP stands for "Mediterranean Explorer" as the model is designed to "reflect the beach club lifestyle" typical of Mediterranean cruisers. She can accommodate up to 12 guests across six suites, including a full-beam main deck master and lower deck VIP. Interior styling and exterior lines are by Turkish studio Can Yalman.
The key difference in the new series is that the beach club and garage seen on the 37MXP have been replaced with a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, for direct access to the water.
Miouch is also two metres longer than her predecessor, with the extra space given to the aft deck, making room for a large al fresco dining area, a bar, a lounge and an aft pool with a glass transom. An extendable awning offers shade when needed.
"Her new aft layout offers owners an additional way of enjoying everything our XPs deliver – it’s the perfect spot to relax when you just want to chill with family and friends by the water," added Malaz.
Miouch is also capable of storing a nine-metre tender and three Jet Skis, with room for additional water sports toys.
According to BOATPro, Numarine has 11 yachts currently in build or on order.
