Oceanco’s in-build 109 metre yacht has entered the outfitting phase at the yard’s Alblasserdam facility.

Designed inside and out by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, the yacht features extensive glass with the three deckhouses on the main, bridge and upper decks all surrounded by large glass windows. Elsewhere, the exterior design is defined by “classical proportions”, according to the yard.

Lateral Naval Architects is responsible for the naval architecture and propulsion system. The owner is represented by Wright Maritime Group.

The news comes after the yard revealed the 109 in-build yacht would be the first Oceanco yacht to take advantage of its new construction facilities in Zwijndrecht.

The new facilities were acquired by Oceanco in May 2019. The 28-acre site includes offices and conference rooms, as well as construction, outfitting, paint and sandblasting facilities.

The new facility is intended to increase company efficiency as well as improving communication. The outfitting facilities will also allow the yard to develop maintenance and refit works. Alongside the new site, Oceanco is planning to open an educational campus to facilitate technical training across a number of different disciplines.
