US-headquartered Outer Reef Yachts has launched the first unit in its 23.9-metre Adventure 780 series. A robust steel hull and "sound-reducing construction" characterise the explorer yacht, which touched the water for the first time at the yard's facility in Holland, the Netherlands.
The inaugural vessel in the Adventure Series (designed in collaboration with Dutch builder Lynx Yachts), the hull marks Outer Reef Yachts' first entry into the steel explorer market. Her strong, geometric lines are by Bernd Weel Design, with interiors courtesy of Julian Moore Design.
A 140GT layout houses four guest cabins (including twin VIP cabins), two crew cabins and a main saloon connected to the galley and wheelhouse. A partially sheltered sundeck is the major social hub, arranged with multiple seating areas, a bar and a dining table, though there is an alternative, wind-protected cockpit on the main deck aft.
The yacht has tender capacity up to six metres, alongside storage for two Jet Skis and a tender crane on the foredeck. There is also a large "sports locker" for toy storage on this unit, though the series also offers a custom "dive centre" option.
Twin 425hp Cummins engines power the model to a maximum speed of 12.4 knots and cruising speed of 11.4 knots, steadied by zero-speed fin stabilisers.
Other key specs include a 6.8-metre beam and a draft of 1.9 metres.
