History of Outer Reef Yachts

American entrepreneur and former merchant mariner Jeff Druek founded luxury yacht builder Outer Reef Yachts in the late 1990s to manufacture cruising motor yachts capable of navigating in rough offshore conditions. Composite motor and sailing yacht builder Tania Yacht Company in Kaohsiung Harbor, Taiwan, a major shipbuilding port, was selected to build the Outer Reef Yachts models. Shipyard Tania Yacht Company’s location on the deepwater harbour makes it an ideal location to sea-trial all Outer Reef Yachts prior to shipping them to dealers and owners around the world. Shipyard Tania Yacht Company recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation that updated its construction technology and expanded its production capabilities. Luxury yacht builder Outer Reef Yachts currently offers 15 yacht models in its Trident Series, Motor Yacht, Cockpit Motor Yacht, Deluxbridge and Explorer lines. Builder Outer Reef Yachts has collaborated with noted U.S. yacht design firm Setzer Yacht Architects to develop designs for some of its luxury yacht series, including the new Outer Reef Explorer line with models measuring 32.95m and 35m.

Notable Outer Reef Yachts

Launched in 2012, the Outer Reef Yachts 700 Motor Yacht luxury yacht series was received with industry acclaim and awards. This 21.8m long-range cruiser has both pilothouse and flybridge helm stations, and a range in excess of 3,000 nautical miles, depending on fuel tankage.
