First look inside custom rosé Baltic 80 sailing yacht Emma

12 July 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Baltic Yachts has offered a first look inside its 24.4-metre custom sailing yacht Emma. This follows the news that Emma had been undergoing sea trials ahead of delivery to her owner, an experienced yachtsman and first-time Baltic client.

The yacht's striking rosé colour proposal has not previously been seen on a Baltic build, but the shipyard did previously build the pink-themed 53.9-metre Pink Gin (now Ravenger).

The model has been described as a "multi-role yacht" capable of "fast offshore cruising and excellent performance on the race course". Easy handling was part of the owner's brief with a self-tacking jib set on a wide track and in-boom furling.

A streamlined exterior profile is the work of Judel/Vrolijk & Co with a low-level coachroof, which incorporates a fold-down dodger and Bimini for cockpit protection, and a distinctive reverse angle stem.

Accommodation is for six guests in three double cabins with a further cabin for two crew. The interior arrangement and styling have been handled in-house. Images reveal a light, airy aesthetic that incorporates subtle shades of rosé to match Emma's eye-catching exterior.

She has been built in advanced composites using pre-preg SPRINT and a foam core throughout

Other features include twin rudders, a lifting keel and a conventional propulsion unit driving a folding propeller. A large stern garage will house a jet-driven Williams 395 tender.

Henry Hawkins, executive vice president at Baltic Yachts, said: "She’s a particularly sleek and sporty looking yacht and could be regarded as a ‘new generation 80’ in a size range, which has recently been attracting attention from clients. A lot of design work has been done to produce what should be a great performance cruiser-racer."

This follows the news that the Finnish shipyard had started construction on a 37-metre blue water cruising sloop. Malcolm McKeon is responsible for naval architecture and exterior styling, while interiors are the work of Adam Lay Studio.
