Superyacht design studio The A Group has presented an 83 metre superyacht concept named Project Comète.
The concept is the result of a collaboration between in-house designers Thibaud Le Merdy, who won the 2017 BOAT International’s Young Designer of the Year competition, and yachting director Matt Pegrum.
Featuring “dynamic and elegant lines”, Project Comète features a draft of 3.6 metres, 15 metre beam and a huge 1800GT interior. Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests, two staff and 20 crew members.
Key features include an oversized garage large enough to hold two 10 metre tenders, eight Jet Skis and a seven-metre crew tender.
The concept is intended to provide the “perfect balance between spaces open to the surrounding nature and refined, clean forms,” the studio said. “Comète is for an owner who is willing to breathe fresh air and be close to the sea at every moment.”
As a result, the yacht features a 220 square metre forward exterior saloon, front-facing spa with a bow view and a 120 square metre private owner’s terrace. A glass-bottom swimming pool is found on the upper deck. The yacht also features two Jacuzzis.
Project Comète will have a top speed of 16 knots and cruising speed of 12 knots.
