Italian yacht designer Studio Sculli has revealed its latest superyacht concept design, the 44.56 metre MSS 44.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the concept’s explorer aesthetic is marked by sleek exterior lines and a rotund bow.
Aimed at the superyacht owner “who wants to be ahead of the curve”, the yacht marries “practical and plush features”, the studio said.
The dedicated owner’s deck grants ultimate privacy to the owner and features a private terrace at the bow and aft, study, lounge and hydromassage area. Accommodation is for a maximum of 10-12 guests in five or six cabins. The default configuration includes two VIPs, two double staterooms and the owner’s cabin. Crew accommodation is for a maximum team of 12.
Elsewhere, the design features an aft deck crane, which enables the easy deployment and retrieval of a tender up to 11m or eight metre tender and car. When the tenders are launched, the 170sqm beach club area is freed up, allowing guests to use the swimming pool and waterside area.
An additional crane located at the yacht’s bow launches rescue and crew tender as well as the Jet Ski and other toys.
Powered by twin CAT 232 engines, the MSS 44 will have a top speed of 16.5 knots and transatlantic range of 5,400 nautical miles at 10 knots. Zero speed stabilizer fins, an 80kw bow thruster and a fuel separator round off its propulsion system.
