Superyacht Sharq for sale via sealed bids at Ocean Independence

16 September 2013 • Written by Tom Isitt

Toby Maclaurin sends word that Ocean Independence has taken over the Central Agency for superyacht Sharq, a Mangusta 165.

Unusually, the yacht will be sold by sealed bid and all bids have to be in by 28 November. All bids must be made in writing and must clearly state who is making the bid and the price being offered together with any special comments or terms and conditions that might be attached to the bid.

Sharq is a 49.9m GRP-hulled motor yacht built by Overmarine in 2011, with naval architecture and interior design handled in-house, and exterior styling by Stefano Righini. She accommodates 10 to 12 guests in six cabins, and has a crew of nine in five cabins. Capable of 40 knots, thanks to her triple MTU 16V 4000 M93L engines on KaMeWa water-jet drives, she has a range of 600nm at a cruising speed of 33 knots.

She is currently lying in Doha.
