aviva

The large majority of superyachts out there have white hulls, but there are the daring few that have gone with a more colourful exterior. Blue is a fitting choice for a craft that will float upon the deep blue sea, and here are a few of the best blue hull superyachts out there today.

Aviva, launched by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2017, has been lauded for her many innovative features, including the tennis court found inside. But one cannot overlook her gorgeous azure blue paint job.

Far more impressive than her hull colour, though, is the hull design – Aviva has a nipped in “waist” which bulges back out below the waterline. This is designed to both slows and softens the roll, while the near-vertical bow and narrow sailboat-like stern helps reduce pitching and also aids efficiency.

Turquoise Superyacht Go Side View Credit Francisco Martinez

Go hasn't even left the yard yet at Turquoise Yachts in Turkey, but she's already turning heads. The 77 metre is the flagship yacht from the builder, featuring design by H2 Yacht Design of London. Her stunning cerulean hull colour will be sure to make Go stand out wherever she, well, goes.

Go is due to be delivered by the end of the 2018, and she boasts plenty of pools and connection to the water, which complements her hull colour, such as a five-metre swimming pool on the aft deck, a private spa pool on the dedicated owner's deck and a superyacht beach club that measures 162 metres square.
