The global charter fleet includes a small but exceptional group of sailing yachts. Since 2018, this has exceeded the 100-metre mark with Black Pearl. BOAT showcases seven of the largest sailing yachts available for charter in 2026…
Black Pearl
Stats: 105m, Oceanco, 2018, 12 guests, 26 crew
Highlights: The 105-metre Black Pearl is the largest sailing yacht available for charter in the world. For years, she remained shrouded in secrecy, but in 2024, she joined the charter market for the first time, simultaneously unveiling her highly private interiors. Crafted by Oceanco and designed by Nuvolari Lenard and Ken Freivokh, she features a pioneering Dynarig sail configuration, which is the largest in the world.
Black Pearl is praised for her eco-conscious credentials, thanks to her sailing efficiency and hybrid propulsion, with a battery bank by Lateral Naval Architects. With the volume of a 75- 80-metre motor yacht, her standout features include a wellness area, massage room, gym, Hammam and jet stream pool. This deck space doubles up as a night lounge for evenings, with the pool also transforming into a dancefloor, complemented by an onboard entertainment system.
Black Pearl is available for charter with IYC with a weekly rate from $850,000.
Maltese Falcon
Stats: 88m, Perini Navi, 2006 (2023), 12 guests, 18 crew
Highlights: Maltese Falcon single-handedly transformed the superyacht industry after her delivery in 2006. A head-turner in any scenario, the 88-metre took six years to complete, due to the complexity of her radical unstayed masts made of "weapons-grade" carbon fibre and her computerised sail and mast control system.
This year, she comes to the charter market in a new exclusive partnership with the hospitality brand, Jumeirah. Under this new charter partnership in the Jumeirah Privé portfolio, The Maltese Falcon will follow a spring and summer itinerary exploring Europe’s coasts. The yacht will then return to the Caribbean for winter itineraries across Antigua, The Bahamas, Saint Martin and St. Barth.
Maltese Falcon is available for charter with Jumeirah with price upon application.
Aquijo
Stats: 85.9m, Vitters and Oceanco, 2016, 12 guests, 17 crew
Highlights: The world’s largest high-performance ketch, Aquijo, isn't just one of the finest sailing yachts available for charter due to her size alone. Constructed as a collaborative project between Dutch pedigree shipyards Oceanco and Vitters, Aquijo was delivered in 2016 as what is considered the world’s largest high-performance sailing ketch.
She is unusual for offering the space and amenities often found on a motor yacht, while still providing charterers with the exhilarating feeling of cruising under sail at a top speed of 15 knots. Especially notable is her impressive wellness centre, encompassing a steam room, sea-view Jacuzzi, sauna and relaxation lounge; such a space is practically unheard of on sailing yachts.
Aquijo is ideal for charterers looking for a true sailing experience without forfeiting space or amenities. Her bold and stylish interiors by Dӧlker + Voges offer a range of entertaining spaces, including a formal dining table for 24 in the main saloon as well as al fresco dining on the aft deck with a barbecue.
Aquijo is available for charter with Y.CO with price upon application.

She has circumnavigated the globe and embarked on epic journeys that would challenge even the most robust explorer yacht. This level of activity would come as no surprise to Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman, however, which aimed to create a practical and powerful sailing yacht that is remarkably comfortable and capable of carrying guests around the world under sail.
Sea Eagle is available for charter with Y.CO with a weekly rate from €550,000.
Vertigo
Stats: 67.2m, Alloy Yachts, 2011, 12 guests
Highlights: The 67.2-metre ketch Vertigo launched in 2011 and was met with widespread critical acclaim - being named sailing yacht of the year at the 2012 World Superyacht Awards. Legend has it that her designer, Philippe Briand, conceived the shape of her dramatically sloped coachroof after sketching on the tablecloth of an Italian trattoria.
Her 837GT interior, designed by Studio Christian Liaigre, saw the yard break through the 500GT mark for the first time. On board, there is room for a plethora of sports equipment, meaning guests can work out and stay in shape during extended stays on board.
Vertigo is available for charter with Y.CO with a weekly rate from €330,000.
Spirit of the C’s
Stats: 64m, Perini Navi, 2003, 10 guests, 11 crew
Highlights: Italian yard Perini Navi brought together a dream team to create Spirit of the C's. This sailing yacht has a swift Nuvolari Lenard design, supported by naval architecture by Ron Holland and neutral, Parisian-chic decór by French designers Dernier Etage and Rémi Tessier.
The yacht had an extensive refit back in 2016, which refurbished these interiors, alongside a complete remodelling of the guest cockpit and an extension to her sundeck, two of many social and entertainment areas on board (including a Jacuzzi). Cocktails at the upper deck bar "are a must" according to the owner, and can be followed by a formal meal in the spacious dining area.
Spirit of the C's is available to charter with Camper & Nicholsons with price upon application.
Athos
Stats: 63.2m, Holland Jachtbouw, 2010, 12 guests, 10 crew
Highlights: Perfectly equipped to facilitate the perfect family sailing holidays, Athos strikes the perfect balance between high-powered performance and luxury living at sea. Her vast exterior deck offers plenty of space for socialising, with a shaded dining area on the aft and a private deck area adjoining the master suite. She is one of the largest two-masted schooners in the charter fleet, and thanks to her speed, delivers on the race circuit too.
The yacht recently returned to the charter market having undergone an extensive refit, which included a 1.25-metre extension at the stern and a total rebuild of the interior. Hoek Design once again stepped in to oversee the naval architecture, interior styling and layout changes of the guest accommodation, main saloon, crew service areas and deckhouse. Her styling is now warm and inviting, which has made her a more sophisticated offering.
Athos is available to charter with Fraser from $220,000 per week.
