As wellness travel becomes an $800 billion-dollar industry, onboard gyms and spas are taking centre stage with superyachts doubling as bespoke wellness retreats in their own right. From cryo saunas to ice fountains, we take a look at some of the best luxury yachts available to charter for self-care fans and fitness fanatics...
With on board spaces designed by Margherita Casprini, the 72 metre Solo is all about al fresco entertaining. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated on board the Tankoa superyacht, which features a skylounge infinity pool and an sizeable beach club. Almost at water level, the beach club offers outstanding views and is complete with a saloon, fitness gym and bar, as well as a sauna and hammam. The toybox on board Solo is equally impressive, filled with watersports and diving gear. She boasts seemingly endless onboard highlights, but a few include an underwater observation lounge, stunning and capacious lounge spaces, a beautiful master suite with a skylight, an extraordinary swimming pool and a basketball court.

Delivered by Sanlorenzo in 2017, the 52 metre superyacht Seven Sins features a fully-equipped gymnasium on board, as well as a sauna, hammam, steam room and shower. Additionally, there is a glass-bottom pool with a counterflow current option for competitive swimmers who wish to avoid the waves. Aft of the spa lies an extraordinary beach club, which has balconies on both sides and can be transformed into a tender garage. Her sleek and contemporary deck spaces feature plenty of dining, drinking and lounging spots for guests. Additionally, the on-board spa boards a qualified Elemis beautician and the sundeck gym boasts panoramic views and state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and tech. Delivered in 2011 by Feadship, Lady Britt can sleep up to 12 guests in seven cabins with a crew of 16. Her expansive interiors feature an elegant dining room, private study, cinema, an aft guest saloon and a beautiful main saloon complete with vast windows and cocktail bar.

Originally delivered by Icon Yachts in 2010, this 67.5 metre superyacht underwent an extensive refit in 2014 that saw her wellness facilities receive a serious upgrade. A new infinity pool and a beach club were added, creating two dreamy al fresco areas for guests to sit back and soak up the sun. The glass-bottomed pool filters a dappled blue light into the beach club below, while a fold-out balcony offers easy access to the sea and additional space for sun loungers.
Adjacent to the beach club, a gym allows guests to practice yoga or make use of its Technogym weights and exercise machines. After a killer workout, guests can then soothe sore muscles in the Hammam, sauna or massage room. Four of her seven cabins offer direct access to the beach club for added convenience. An additional Jacuzzi is located on the bridge deck, and Icon also boasts a full toy box complete with diving gear, water sports kit and towable toys.

There is never a dull moment on board this 52 metre Benetti thanks to an onboard surf instructor, perfect for those looking to catch a few waves, while two qualified diving experts and a PADI-certified dive centre allow guests to explore the underwater world like never before.
The sixth guest cabin on board this Benetti is a versatile space that can be used a gym, yoga studio, beauty treatment space or massage room. For working out, Latitude carries a suite of exercise equipment including a treadmill and an exercise bike.

Combining the exhilarating experience of sail with generous interior volumes, Aresteas boasts a fully equipped fitness centre and dedicated massage room for beauty treatments. Guests will also find an Infrared Himalayan salt sauna room and a spectacular glass-bottom jacuzzi on board. A beach club complete with a five metre swim platform provides yet another place to enjoy the amenities or toys on offer, while the spacious sundeck is an ideal spot for topping up a tan and enjoying an al fresco drink or healthy smoothie at the bar. Further dining options can be found on the main deck, which is kept cool in warm weather with the help of a misting mist cooling system.

The 55 metre Amels Limited Editions 180 yacht Lili is a superb option for gym bunnies looking to keep fit on charter, home to a state-of-the-art gym and spa. On deck there is an open-air cinema, four-metre pool with a counter-flow current for morning laps and plenty of seating areas perfect for a sunset cocktail. Below deck, her contemporary main saloon features a vast television and dining area, a second main deck saloon offers a fold-down balcony, and guests can also relax in a spacious skylounge.
Imperial Yachts manages Lili for charter, with a weekly rate starting from €290,000.
Staying in shape on board the 54.9 Sovereign is easy done, as she features an array of exercise equipment set up in the beach club including a treadmill, free weights, yoga mats, bands, and balls. Delivered in 2011 by Newcastle Marine, Sovereign features six cabins for up to 12 guests, who will be looked after by a crew of 12. Her highlights include two master cabins, one of which boasts a private terrace. Additionally, there is a comfy main saloon, a spacious skylounge with high ceilings, uninterrupted views and a cocktail bar, and a capacious sundeck complete with a bar area, Jacuzzi, loungers and sunpads.

Utopia IV 's beach club is well-set up for wellness charters. Located at the stern of this 63 metre superyacht, it features a fold-down transom which adds a further 754 square feet of swim platform to the bar and relaxation area inside the vessel. A glass-bottom swimming pool on the main deck allows light to filter down to the beach club and drinks bar below. Sun loungers allow guests to top up their tan while drying off after a dip in the ocean.
