Jimmy’z may be the most famous nightclub on the French Riviera. Based in the the Sporting Monte-Carlo complex on the sea front it attracts a clientele of the young, cool and professionally beautiful. Every passing star from Leonardo DiCaprio to Lionel Richie has enjoyed the cocktails and impressive line-up of DJs, with supermodels so common that they barely rate a glance.

Twiga
For Italian flare with Monaco glamour

The brain child of Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, Twiga has a similar vibe to the Billionaire Clubs’ other establishments. It moved to a new location in May this year – it can now be found on the second floor of Grimaldi Forum – and has great views across the Mediterranean Sea. Go for dinner at one of its two restaurants, that serve either Italian or Japanese. Then stay on to dance the night away as at around 1am it transforms into a night club.

Buddha Bar
For a chilled-out sound track

Based in a former concert hall just off the Place du Casino the Monaco edition of this hip restaurant-bar chain has become a firm favourite with locals. The décor mixes Asian themes with décor inspired by the Garnier Opera House in Paris. The combination of eastern sculptures and baroque mouldings creates a rich, comfortable setting, complemented by the chilled-out sound track make it a perfect stop off during the Monaco Yacht Show.

The Living Room Club
To dance until dawn

A short walk from the Buddha Bar the packed and fun Living Room is a classic Monaco night out that does feel a little as if you’re dancing in someone’s sitting room. The party does not really get going before midnight and the DJs keep spinning until sunrise so make sure you don’t have too much planned for the next day at the Monaco Yacht Show. The eclectic music runs the gamut from tinkling piano to Latin hits and if it all gets too much you can take a break on La Terrasse.

To enjoy a glitterati favourite

This innocuous looking Monaco restaurant and bar hides a romantic, dimly lit red and gold interior – and is a favourite with the glitterati. The roll-call of guests over the decades has included Farrah Fawcett, Naomi Campbell, Michael Douglas, Will Smith, Penélope Cruz, Jay Z, Beyonce and many more. Located on avenue Princess Grace the bar is a must visit during the Monaco Yacht Show.

To enjoy a cigar

The Crystal Bar, in Hotel Hermitage is famous for its extensive cigar selection. Its heated terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a cigar or one of its vintage champagnes while overlooking the Principality. Alongside its bar menu, it also offers caviar with traditional condiments or toppings.
