The best nautical experiences to enjoy in London this season

Try the tasting menu at Sexy Fish

Everyone should experience the city of London at least once in their lives and what better way to visit than on a superyacht? Moor up in Tower Bridge, St Katherine’s Docks or Canary Wharf and discover the best nautical offerings of England's capital.

1. Try the tasting menu at Sexy Fish

Sharing its name with the 39.3 metre Tansu superyacht Sexy Fish, this legendary London establishment at the heart of Mayfair, one of the best restaurants in the world to visit by superyacht, has an Asian-inspired offering with an intricate menu comprising mostly (but not exclusively) seafood, fish, shellfish and sushi. Sumptuous morsels appear in delicate dishes and bowls in a vast space that combines Art Deco accents with the sea-inspired contemporary artwork of Michael Roberts, Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry.

Visitors should relinquish choice for the evening and opt from the Sekushi tasting menu, which provides an experience as much as a meal. Tuck into salt and pepper squid, prawn gyoza and a crispy duck and watermelon salad before devouring the generous and delicious sashimi platter, which is staged atop an incredible silver octopus bowl. A highlight of the main courses has to be the grilled beef fillet with ginger and black pepper – succulent with a bit of a kick, it's a gorgeous finale to the meal. Save space for the encore, which comes in the form of a dessert platter of chocolate pralines, coconut cake, mango sorbet and Macadamia nut ice cream.

Don't miss: The Coral Reef Room – usually reserved for private functions, it hosts two large aquariums filled with stunning tropical fish.
