Fine violin dealer J & A Beare will be bringing the magic of Stradivari, maker of the world’s most exceptional violins, to London in June 2017 with a showcase of his history and craftsmanship at Spencer House.
The World of Stradivari, a one-night-only event taking place on June 8, 2017, will be hosted in collaboration with the ArtPointFoundation. This British based charity aims to support and further the careers of exceptional artists from all backgrounds through training, expert advice and performance opportunities at events such as The World of Stradivari.
As such the event is open only to VIP guests with business interests in the musical world as well as music and art philanthropists. There will also be a live auction on the night to help support the developing career of a young artist supported by the foundation.
Other highlights of the event include an exhibition of Stradivari’s fine violins and cellos in the magnificent setting of the 18th Century Spencer House and a dive into the life and work of Antonio Stradivari, who began making instruments in Italy in the late 1600s and went on to become history's greatest violin craftsman. Guests will also be treated to further performances by two world-class musicians: 22-year-old violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian and 24-year-old cellist Kian Soltani.
