Espen Øino has spent his fair share of time on yacht tenders, and as such, the renowned superyacht designer has developed some valuable opinions. One is that limo tenders can feel confining. His convertible design for Hodgdon Tenders resolves that issue with a light-filled interior covered by a retractable roof that transforms the boat into an open layout when conditions allow. It’s offered from nine to 11 metres and in two designs, helm forward or aft. The latter also features a bow ramp for beach access. Power can come from single or twin diesel engines with electric propulsion also possible.

Built by Falcon Tenders for our cover yacht, the Admiral Armani 72 (see page 66), this sinuous boat in signature Armani “greige” blends the fashion icon’s minimalist aesthetic with avant-garde design. The fully enclosed limo is a customisable concept that can be carried over to other yachts, particularly suited to 60-metre-plus Mediterranean yachts with low stowage heights, says director Mark Pascoe. An optional Seakeeper gyrostabiliser aids in guest comfort, while lightweight green epoxy carbon construction with the possibility of hybrid, electric and hydrogen propulsion make it quite sustainable too.

Castoldi Jet Tender 34 Limo

Castoldi

Castoldi takes its waterjet expertise to a new level of luxury with its first-ever limousine model. Conceived in collaboration with design studio Nauta, it is quietly elegant and Italian through and through. Highlights include generous headroom, multiple boarding options, a pantry and a dayhead. While most limos are custom creations, this is a semi-production model, designed for a fleet of luxury cruise ships. But the platform is also adaptable. “The modular nature of the design allows us to offer bespoke solutions efficiently,” says CEO Giacomo Castoldi. The first unit is in the final stages of build for a spring delivery.

Evene Tenders Origin 57 and 71

Evene may be a new name in tenders, but you’ll likely recognise its sister brand, the ubiquitous Williams Jet Tenders. The Cannes show last September marked the global debut of the inaugural models in the range, which both feature the Petestep hull for a quieter, more comfortable ride. Sustainability played a big role in the Origin models’ development; they offer cork decking sourced from regenerative cork forests, removable eco-upholstery and Yanmar 4LV diesel engines approved for HVO 100 fuel, which massively reduces net CO2 emissions compared to standard diesel.

Yachtwerft Meyer Impetus Open

Yachtwerft Meyer is off to a great start with its Impetus line of semi-custom tenders, offered as a limo or open in lengths from 10.5 metres to 12 metres. The first launch, an 11.5-metre Open, was delivered in July 2025 and took home the prize for Open Tender of the Year at the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards in early February. The sharp, edgy design caught the judges’ eyes, as well as the functionality and amenities. Indeed, it came fully loaded with Starlink, a movable bathing platform, gyrostabiliser, dayhead and a hydraulic T-top that lowers for stowing on the mothership.

Cockwells 7.1m Owner’s Tender

Cockwells

The 9.5-metre Owner’s Tender – originally built for 73-metre Nautilus and 74-metre M&EM – turned heads with its presence, performance and style, but Cockwells recognised that not every yacht could accommodate a tender of that size. Hence the 7.1-metre version was born, offering nine-passenger capacity, responsive and fast handling and the same good looks in a more compact package. Furthermore, an adjustable-height hardtop allows it to stow away easily on board. The first of these operates as a tender to a 95-metre Lürssen, and the second model, currently in build, will feature a mahogany veneered hull that complements the deck.

LOA: 7.1m
Beam: 2.76m
Displacement: 3.56 tonnes
Power: 2,070hp Volvo D4 with sterndrive
Top speed: 36 knots

Nautique Super Air GS22 Diesel

Nautique

New for 2026 is the Yanmar diesel version of the Super Air GS22, Nautique’s most popular multisport boat. Waterski, wake surf, wakeboard… all are possible on this versatile machine that blends the running surfaces of the Ski Nautique for old-school skiing and the G-series for pro-level wakes.

Of course, superyachts require something a bit more built-for-purpose than off-the-shelf, and that’s where Scotland Nautique comes in. Led by European wake surf champion Raymond Colquhoun, the dealer works with international superyachts to turn the production boat into a true tender. From speccing colours to match the mothership to fitting lifting points and telescopic towers, it not only modifies the boats for tender garages, but also provides watersports training to crew at the handover and remains a support service, just a WhatsApp message away.

LOA: 6.72m
Beam: 2.54m
Height: 1.7m
Dry weight: 2,223kg
Power: 370hp Yanmar 8LV diesel

As the name indicates, the highly anticipated new model from this German builder will follow in the wake of her big sisters with a lightweight carbon-fibre structure that enables speedy performance alongside low fuel consumption. The Petestep hull design is coupled with twin Volvo Penta sterndrive engines to top out at 50 knots, while the open deck layout invites guests to lounge on the aft sunbed, gather around the dining table or enjoy the views from the bow lounge. Plus, there’s a cabin and dayhead below. The first hull launches in spring and has already met with market success, selling several times sight unseen.

Whitmarsh Beachlander

It was the year of the beachlander for Whitmarsh in 2025, which launched three new models: the SBL625, SBL725 and SBL850. Each offers a range of propulsion options, and new for 2026 is an outboard version of the 8.5-metre SBL850. All can be built for SOLAS compliance and naturally feature a clever bow door that easily lowers to allow guests to step out onto the beach. Multifunctional for watersports, diving or guest transfers, the walkaround deck is as large as possible thanks to the half-circle “D” design of the inflatable tubes, which doesn’t intrude on internal space.

Omikron Yachts OT-60

This is a boat that gives chase at a more sedate pace. Speed was never the end game of this 18-metre modern trawler, yet at least one serves as a superyacht chase boat, says its Greek builder. It was created to optimise space, functionality and fuel efficiency, delivering a range of 1,000 nautical miles at eight knots while sipping just 1.25 litres of fuel per mile. A spacious, sunlit layout, meanwhile, makes the journey enjoyable. The OT-60 hit US shores for the first time this past autumn after a 2024 debut in Europe.

LOA: 18.41m
Beam: 6.06m
Displacement: 20 tonnes

With all the style of the company’s bespoke tenders in a slightly larger form, it also boasts a galley, a dayhead, height-adjustable tables, modular sunpads, hidden Seabob storage, an articulating swim platform and aft bulwarks that unfold. Compass proposes waterjet drives, ideal for shallow-water destinations like the Bahamas and for when it is towed by the mothership.

Windy SR77

Windy

Windy went big with its latest addition to its SR Yacht Tender range. The SR77, at a smidge under 24 metres, will be by far the largest yacht in Windy’s history, and perhaps the largest leisure vessel built in Sweden today. Designed in collaboration with Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, it is equally a chase boat and luxury cruiser, featuring stealthy lines, a streamlined profile, expansive guest deck and generous swim platform. Multiple arrangements are offered below deck, and the builder welcomes client input for every single design element. Hull No 1 has sold and will soon commence construction at a brand new 2,300-square-metre assembly hall in Västervik on Sweden’s east coast.

LOA: 23.98m
