With over 50 years of experience in the commercial shipbuilding industry, the Palumbo family entered the luxury superyacht market in 2008 by launching the Columbus Yachts brand, followed by the creation of the Palumbo Superyachts division. Since then, Columbus Yachts—whose international reputation was established with the launch of its first 54-metre flagship, appropriately named Prima, in 2011—has continued to strengthen its market position while earning the trust of owners around the world.

 Columbus Yachts has distinguished itself through its expertise in hybrid propulsion technology, exemplified by the 40m Sport Hybrid project. This model became the first superyacht to receive RINA's "Hybrid Propulsion Y" notation, highlighting the brand's commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability.

 The brand embodies a philosophy in which every yacht harmoniously combines elegance with distinctive character, placing the highest value on premium materials, refined craftsmanship and advanced engineering expertise. Above all, what truly sets Columbus Yachts apart is its dedication to hyper-personalisation and the continuous involvement of the owner throughout the entire construction process—an approach considered the brand's greatest strength. 

At the beginning of 2019, Columbus launched its flagship, the 80-metre Columbus Classic M/Y Dragon, further consolidating its reputation for luxury and innovation. The shipyard collaborates with internationally renowned designers and offers four distinctive product lines—Atlantique, Crossover, Sport and Classic—to satisfy a wide range of tastes and owner preferences. 

These ranges include yachts from 37 to 120 metres, with the possibility of fully custom-built projects in both aluminium and steel. As part of the Palumbo Superyachts network—which also includes ISA Yachts, Mondomarine and EXTRA Yachts—Columbus Yachts provides comprehensive support to owners throughout the entire lifecycle of their yacht.
