65m Nicolini motor yacht Yaakun sold and renamed

The 65.3 metre motor yacht Yaakun has been sold with Giulio Riggio at Fraser acting for the seller and Yannis Ioannidis of YachtOne Enterprises introducing the buyer.

Built in steel and aluminium to Lloyd's class by Italian yard Nicolini to an in-house design, she was delivered in 1987 to a Middle Eastern royal family and originally named Al Menwar. Always kept in class, her vast interior, created by Claudio Zampetti, accommodates 12 guests in six cabins comprising a main deck master suite, VIP suite and four doubles.

Yaakun was asking €5,500,000

All guest cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities while a further 11 cabins sleep 20 crew.

A spacious main saloon boasts a large settee opposite a bar with four stools, while natural light floods in through ample windows port and starboard. In July 2006, she was acquired and refitted by a European owner for a two-year circumnavigation of the world's oceans. Her design, both inside and out, is the definition of 80s chic, the exterior lines making her look longer than she is.

Unusually, this yacht has maintained the same signature styling since delivery – although she has been refitted several times, most recently in 2017. Her new owner, an experienced yachtsman, is planning a 12-month refit that will include a completely renewed interior as well as the addition of a Jacuzzi on the sun deck. She will be renamed Adamas V and the owner intends to use her privately only.

She can cruise at 17 knots with a top speed of 21 knots and has a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 14 knots with power coming from two 4,170hp MTU diesel engines. For added comfort and safety, she is fitted with stabilisers.

Yaakun was asking €5,500,000.
