The 58-metre Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht Amaral, previously known as Lady Sheridan, has been sold by Matthew Ruane of Cecil Wright & Partners and Merle Wood of Merle Wood & Associates representing the seller, and Rytis Babravicius of Ocean Independence representing the buyer.
Delivered in 2007 by the German yard, she was built in steel and aluminium to Lloyds class. She underwent a comprehensive refit between 2021 and 2022 which included a complete repaint, the installation of a bulbous bow, the addition of zero-speed stabilisers and a full overhaul of her systems.
Her interior design was penned by Donald Starkey and exudes a warm atmosphere thanks to glossy wooden details. Amaral accommodates 12 guests across six well-appointed cabins, while onboard comfort is supported by a crew of 16.
The full-beam master suite is located on the main deck and boasts a study and walk-in dressing room. A VIP suite is situated on the bridge deck and a further four cabins can be found below deck. All cabins have ensuite facilities.
Designer Don Starkey limited his use of woods to mahogany, platanus, Japanese ash and Macassar. The dark tones of the latter set strong accents in places such as the central stairwell, where it is used for the stair supports.
The main saloon aft is spacious and invites relaxation away from the elements, while the dining area forward sits 14 guests. Indoor spaces also include a fully-equipped gym with an ensuite bathroom of its own.
The tri-deck yacht offers al fresco dining across the main, upper, and sundeck aft; meanwhile, guests may relax under the sun above the wheelhouse in a hot tub flanked by sunbeds. A large bar with padded stools is also available to host and entertain friends and family on board.
The addition of her bulbous bow boosted Amaral's efficiency and extended her range to 7,500 nautical miles. Power comes from twin Caterpillar engines to give her a cruising speed of 14.5 knots, and zero-speed stabilisers ensure comfort while underway.
Amaral was last asking $39,500,000.
