The 31.9-metre Alloy Yachts sailing yacht Irelanda has been sold. Dennis Frederiksen of Fraser and Will Bishop of Superyacht Partners represented the seller in the deal, while Bernard Gallay of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage introduced the buyer.
Irelanda was delivered in 1998 by the New Zealand-based yard, designed throughout by Hoek Design Naval Architects as an aluminium cutter-rigged sloop sailing yacht. She underwent a full refit in 2021 at Pendennis and has had only two owners since new.
Irelanda's upper saloon incorporates a dining table and navigation station, leading up to the central cockpit, which can be configured with two dining tables or large sunpads, all shaded by a bimini.
The snug lower saloon boasts ample seating, port and starboard, plus a desk forward - the finish being mahogany panelling throughout, to provide a traditional "proper yacht" feel. Glass deck hatches and portholes in the coachroof provide bounds of natural light while retaining a comfortable and cosy ambience.
Accommodation on board is for an owner's party of six to eight guests in three cabins, comprising a master suite aft and two twin cabins, each with an additional Pullman berth, immediately forward. There are generous quarters for a crew of four, alongside a galley and a crew mess, all located forward of the lower saloon.
With her keel raised, Irelanda's draught is 3.5 metres, allowing access to shallow anchorages. Under a single Lugger engine, the 104GT sailing yacht can reach a maximum speed of 12.5 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. She also features a tender garage tucked away in the stern.
Irelanda was last asking €3,650,000.
