8 February 2021By Malcolm MacLean

The 30.94 metre Burger motor yacht Intermission has been listed for sale by Moran Yacht & Ship.

Designed by Donald O'Keefe, Intermission was built in aluminium by US yard Burger Boat Company and delivered in 1998 as a raised pilothouse model with her last refit in 2020. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins comprising a large master suite, port VIP suite and a twin while the fourth cabin has a double bed and can also be used as a captain’s cabin. All cabins come with entertainment centres, HD television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.

Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Intermission is asking $2,675,000

The main saloon has large windows and a full glass panel bulkhead that lets abundant natural light in, showing the wood detailing and vibrant soft goods. An open layout is accompanied by beach-house inspired colours on all furniture which perfectly accents the intricate wood detailing and teak sole. A pop-up television screen behind the sofa on the starboard side allows guests to have an intimate dinner or a more casual evening. The forward bulkhead features a full wet bar and a new refrigerator which can be concealed by antique folding mirrors. The dining table is between the seating area and forward bulkhead and comfortably seats eight guests.

The flybridge, covered by a custom hardtop, has a comfortable bench in reach of the controls and provides a clear 360-degree view. A centrally located service area has a refrigerator and sink with a small counter, while a freezer and icemaker as well as twin electric charcoal grills are located further aft, all hidden. In the aft portion of the flybridge there are two L-shaped settees with new square tables for al fresco entertaining.

The most recent list of work in 2020 includes a new sea chest, new teak, steering system upgrade, upgraded bow thruster, new Air Conditioning system with warranties, upgraded chillers, and freshly serviced engine cooling system. Over $2 million has been invested in this yacht since 2018, including a paint job. Twin 1,350hp Caterpillar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 18 knots topping out at 22 knots.
