The 47.24 metre motor yacht Loon, jointly listed for sale by Barbara Stork Landeweer and Michael Rafferty at IYC with Jim McConville at Allied Marine, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Katya Grzeszczak of IYC.
Loon was built in GRP to ABS class by US yard Christensen and delivered in 1997 with an exterior styled by Glade Johnson and Donald Starkey. In 2012, she was stripped back to the hull and comprehensively refitted over a period of 18 months.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six cabins comprising a main deck master suite and four doubles convertible to twins. The sixth and final cabin, located aft of the master, has been modelled as a staff or children’s cabin and is ideal for a nanny or children. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities on this yacht for sale.
The main saloon is a refined space featuring oversized seating and a coffee table, a pop up television screen, and direct access to the aft deck. A formal dining space is positioned just aft of the main foyer, with seating for all guests. Up a level, the sky lounge is the focal guest area and delivers a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating, a modern entertainment system, wet bar and games table.
The vast sun deck is a true highlight, with features including shaded lounge seating, an al fresco dining table, sun loungers, four-person sunbed, barbecue, Jacuzzi spa tub and control station. Her top speed is 19 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots with power coming from two 2,200hp Deutz-MWM TBD604BV12 diesel engines.
