The 68.8-metre Drizzle has been sold with Hamilton Marine International’s Jonathan Syrett as central agent representing the seller. The buying broker wished to remain anonymous. She is now named Vassa.
As Drizzle she had remained under a single owner since her delivery in 2012 by Dutch builder Feadship, with a comprehensive maintenance schedule that has kept her in near-perfect condition.
Her most recent refit in 2019 saw the yacht repainted and fitted with a new, full-width swim platform with a shower and retractable self-washing swim ladder. She joined the market following the completion of her Lloyd's 10-Year Special Survey in May 2022.
Designed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects with a contemporary yet classic exterior, the design focused on both indoor and outdoor sociability, namely through the open sun deck and three lounge areas. Other outdoor areas include an informal dining area aft of the bridge deck and a main-deck dining table.
The yacht comfortably houses 12 guests across five cabins, with capacity for up to 18 crew. The forward area of the main deck is dedicated to the owner’s suite, featuring large windows, an office area, an en suite bathroom and a dressing room, whereas the remaining guest cabins are predominantly located on the lower deck.
The owner collaborated with British design studio RWD to fashion a neutral, contemporary interior intended for wide appeal. Onboard highlights include a fully-equipped fitness studio, state-of-the-art entertainment systems and a tender garage dedicated to a wide array of toys.
Twin 2,038hp MTU diesel engines enable Vassa to reach a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13.5 knots. At an economical cruising speed of nine knots, Vassa has a range of 5,500 nautical miles while benefitting from two Quantum stabilisers.
Vassa was last asking €63,000,000 (with VAT paid).
