Edmiston and Merritt sell superyacht Jamaica Bay

News just in from Rory Trahair at Edmiston & Company in Monaco that he assisted senior brokers Robert Shepherd and James Lloyd in New York as they represented the buyer in closing the sale of the 51.25m Schweers motor yacht Jamaica Bay on December 30th 2009. Bob Murray of Merritt Yacht Brokers was the central agent for her sale.

Built in 1987 as Leocrie III, she was bought by her current owners in 1999 and renamed Jamaica Bay. Her entire Terence Disdale interior was removed and the layout changed and she now accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. Renamed Legend, Jamaica Bay was asking $15.75 million.
