41m classic Feadship motor yacht Cetacea sold

The 40.5-metre Feadship motor yacht Cetacea has been sold with Andrew LeBuhn at Camper & Nicholsons representing both buyer and seller.

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the classic yacht for sale was delivered in 1970 by Dutch yard Feadship. Sporting an exterior and naval architecture by H. W. De Voogt and Robin Rose interiors, she can sleep up to eight guests in four cabins. Cetacea has benefitted from several extensive refits since her delivery, most recently in 2020.

Cetacea's last asking price was $8,490,000.

Cetacea’s main saloon boasts ample natural light and comfortable furniture, with two large settees and armchairs forward of bookshelves and a bar. A formal dining area for up to ten guests is located further aft on the main deck.

The master cabin benefits from extensive use of gloss-finished woods and has direct access to a private office area that offers plenty of storage, bookshelves and a sofa to enjoy a quiet read upon.

Moving outside, Cetacea’s exterior boasts an al fresco dining area on her aft deck while sun loungers and pads are located on the foredeck.

On her upper deck, aft of the pilothouse, guests can find ample seating, with a variety of loose deck chairs that offer panoramic views of the ocean.

Twin Caterpillar D348-TA diesel engines power the yacht for sale up to a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Range is 3,220 nautical miles at 12.5 knots.

Cetacea’s last asking price was $8,490,000.
