The 26.2-metre Hodgdon planing yacht Valyra has joined the market with Anoton Farber of Fraser.
Valyra was delivered in 2013 by the American shipyard, commissioned by the late Prince Karim Al-Husseini (also known as the Aga Khan IV) as the chase boat of the groundbreaking 49.9-metre Devonport motor yacht Alamshar - famed as the first all-gas-turbine-powered yacht in the world.
Valyra is just as punchy - capable of reaching top speeds of 58 knots thanks to triple 1,800hp MAN V12 engines coupled with Kamewa Jets.
Donald L. Blount (who is also responsible for the design of Alamshar) and Pininfarina penned her design, constructed entirely in lightweight carbon fibre and fitted with advanced technology to minimise noise and vibration when travelling at her top speed. She underwent a comprehensive refit in 2016 with her original builders and has received "continuous professional care" at Rybovich, Fort Lauderdale.
Accommodation on board the 63GT yacht for sale is for four guests in two en suite cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite, and separate quarters for two crew.
British design studio RWD penned Valyra's interiors, offering a "minimalist elegance" within a "surprising volume". Inside, she offers an open-plan main saloon with a U-shaped lounge-dining area to port and a galley to starboard.
Outside, the exterior lounge remains open, featuring a large sunpad and a sofa facing outwards. Forward, there is further sofa seating protected by a hardtop and triple seats for the helm station. Additional sunpads are located on the foredeck - making use of her elongated profile – while aft, a fold-down swim platform offers easy water access.
Her broker noted: "Valyra represents a rare blend of uncompromising speed, advanced technology and high-end pedigree. She was conceived by an experienced owner with a passion for performance and has benefitted from meticulous maintenance since launch. Few yachts can deliver close to 60 knots with such refinement, making her an attractive proposition both as a stand-alone high-speed yacht and as a fast tender or chase boat to a larger vessel."
The motor yacht has a cruising speed of 37 knots and offers a range of approximately 400 nautical miles, with key specs including a five-metre beam and a 1.8-metre draught.
Valyra is asking €2,900,000.
