The 95.2-metre Lürssen motor yacht Kismet has been sold in one of the biggest brokerage deals of the year so far, with Chris Cecil Wright of Cecil Wright & Partners representing the seller and Will Christie of Christie Yachts representing the buyer.

Kismet was commissioned by serial superyacht and sports club owner Shahid Khan as a successor to his 68-metre Lürssen by the same name. The brief was for a 'caviar and champagne' superyacht which was achieved using a jet-black mast and champagne-coloured hull, with Espen Øino responsible for her iconic exterior.

Kismet was asking €149,000,000.

Accommodation is for up to 16 guests across eight staterooms including a master suite with a private deck complete with a Jacuzzi and access to the yacht's helipad that doubles as a basketball court. The remaining cabins comprise a second master suite, two VIP cabins, one double and three double/twin convertible cabins, offering flexibility for families or charter parties. She also has an unusual feature called a sea cabin, carefully placed on the lower deck on portside amidships, where motion will be at a minimum for guests who suffer from seasickness. There are also quarters for 27 crew.

Interior decor meanwhile, the work of British studio Reymond Langton, is rich and detailed with an Art Deco motif that continues throughout.

At the heart of Kismet is a grand atrium with an ornate staircase, a two-storey-high video wall and a 350kg Crystal Caviar chandelier. Other notable include a cinema, a firepit on deck and an extensive wellness centre finished in dark stones and mosaics.

Having been run as a highly successful charter yacht, there is also a large selection of water toys, including jet skis, paddleboards, Seabobs and multiple tenders. Powered by twin 2,720hp Caterpillar 3516-C diesel engines, the 2,928GT yacht can reach a top speed of 17 knots and a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Chris Cecil Wright pointed out that Kismet's sale came just three months after she was listed with Cecil Wright & Partners and "she will no longer be exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show". Will Christie of Christie Yachts said, “Cecil Wright is a boutique brokerage who, like us, specialises in the very top end of the market. We are pleased to have been able to collaborate closely with them to complete this sale".

Kismet was asking €149,000,000.
