10 August 2010 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Today brings news of a 50% cut in the price of the 40.5m sailing yacht Black Swan, a central listing with Mike Horsley at Edmiston & Company in Antibes.

Originally designed by Charles Nicholson and built in 1899 by Camper & Nicholson in Gosport, England, this superyacht was launched as Brynhild with a yawl rig. Over the years she has undergone several changes and different rig configurations. Today, after an extensive restoration at the Beconcini yard in 2002, she carries a gaff rig designed by the Faggioni Yacht Design Studio. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests and the asking price has come down from €5.995 million to €2.75 million.
