It's been an eventful year for Oceanco. In the second half of 2025, it underwent a significant change in ownership, signed for a new 130-metre flagship at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show and launched (and delivered) two yachts – one for its new owner and another for a repeat Oceanco client.
The Dutch yard, now owned by tech gaming billionaire Gabe Newell, launched and subsequently delivered both 111-metre yachts in November 2025. The pair shared more than just a yard; each draws from the engineering prowess of Lateral Navel Architects and features the interiors of Mark Berryman, incorporating a slew of eco-conscious credentials. Yet for their similarities, these superyachts have different stories.
Leviathan reflects the vision of Oceanco owner Newell, who seeks purpose and technological developments. Meanwhile, DreAMBoat, complete with Espen Øino’s unmistakable exterior styling, is about family life and entertainment for a returning client. BOAT compares the two...

Built for purpose
Leviathan is an Oceanco yacht driven less by superyacht indulgence and more by curiosity. Owned by Gabe Newell, who recently acquired the yard, she represents an exciting new development in ownership. Designed around a “human-centric” philosophy, Oceanco describes her as the “most comfortable yacht ever designed, built and delivered.”
At 4,970 GT with a 17.8-metre beam, Leviathan currently takes the spot for the third-largest vessel in the yard’s fleet by length. Sporting sharp architectural lines, her innovations underline a commitment to purpose and eco-conscious thinking. Diesel-electric propulsion combined with a battery-powered energy storage system means extended emission-free operation, while advanced wastewater treatment meets exceptionally high standards.
The eco-conscious touches also extend to the materials used, which have been selected not just for visual aesthetics but also to ensure low maintenance and resilience, supporting the yacht’s crew-focused brief and scientific capabilities.
This focus on functionality positions her as a purpose-driven superyacht, where the design choices serve a broader goal. A nod to Leviathan's build philosophy is captured in the glass panel on the staircase, engraved with the names of over 2,000 individuals involved in the project.
DreAMBoat
Built for family luxury
DreAMBoat highlights the return of a familiar owner to Oceanco, marking the second yacht of the same name, following the original 90-metre DreAMBoat, delivered in 2019. The Oceanco hallmarks of modern, classic lines return for this build, while the 4,550 GT of spaces spanning her 16-metre beam reflect lifestyle-led usage, with a particular focus on family and entertainment.
Built on the shortest lead time in the yard’s history for a yacht of this scale, the project benefitted from “proactive” owner involvement and a clear brief. Highlights include wellness facilities such as a gym, spa, sauna and steam room. For dining and entertainment, the winter garden and covered cocktail lounge, as well as the dedicated entertainment zone, emphasise the social aspect.
Elsewhere, other amenities include an indoor and outdoor cinema, a beach club with a bar and a sundeck golf simulator. Alongside these group moments, privacy is also considered with a private owner’s deck featuring a Jacuzzi.
As with Leviathan, eco-conscious approaches have been adopted. DreAMBoat incorporates a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool to track the carbon footprint across construction and operation, resulting in the implementation of a battery pack optimised for peak shaving and lower emissions. Interior finishes have also been sourced from the Swiss ethical design brand Nature Squared.

The 2,600 GT yacht – for first-time owners – is in outfitting and is the first from the yard’s Simply Custom platform, which was launched at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023.
Alongside this project is the exciting 130-metre flagship. The contract was confirmed at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, and while the details remain unknown, the yacht is poised to be the yard’s largest yet.
