Freire Shipyard is to build a highly secretive 105 metre expedition superyacht, the yard has revealed.
The yard announced it had secured the contract in July 2021 but has released no further details about the project.
It comes after its 112 metre NB-724 explorer, one of the largest superyachts under construction in the world, hit the water for the first time in July 2021.
Little is known about NB-724; however it is understood that the yacht is designed inside and out by Bannenberg & Rowell Design.
The yacht will become the flagship of the Freire yard when delivered and will feature a massive interior volume of 6,950GT.
Freire also built the 87.1 metre explorer yacht OceanXplorer, which was refitted at Damen Yachting in 2020. The two-year project included building a Hollywood-level media production studio on board, which was developed in partnership with director James Cameron.
