Antonini Navi launches first full-custom new build Matilde 7 from La Spezia yard

30 March 2026 • Written by Dea Jusufi and Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Antonini Navi has launched its first full-custom new build superyacht from its facilities in La Spezia, christened Matilde 7. The 33.5-metre yacht marks the first of what will become the shipyard's semi-custom Seamore 34 line and now stands as its official entry into the steel, sub 500GT superyacht segment.

The build, which first began in March 2024, was christened at a private launch ceremony attended by the owner (an experienced Italian sailor who also has previous chartering experience) and his family. Antonini Navi confirmed that the first Seamore 34 will be on display at the upcoming 2026 yacht shows.

Design for the 33.5-metre was developed in-house by Antonini Navi, while the interiors have been drawn by serial collaborator Hot Lab. Classic and contemporary elements define the interior spaces, according to the yard, with ribbed textures, antiqued glass surfaces and panelling lacquered in pastel colours completing the relaxed and welcoming aesthetic.

Developed to prioritise indoor-outdoor continuity, the main deck has an impressive 150 square metres of open-air space, much of which can be closed off (if needed) by large sliding glass panels. This is joined by a further 160 square metres on the upper deck, with approximately 50 square metres shaded by the hardtop, curated for an active and convivial experience.

“The Seamore 34 is the concrete embodiment of our approach to full-custom yachts: the ability to develop every product from a blank sheet, supported by a solid, well-organised technical office and by a problem-solving mindset focused on the sole goal of the owner’s full satisfaction," explained co-founder and sales manager, Aldo Manna.

He continued: "This yacht has been designed to be reliable, functional and fully adaptable to the customer’s needs, without compromising on performance and build quality. At the same time, it showcases the skill and organisation of our production department, which has successfully translated the design into a beautifully built, high-quality yacht. The launch of the Seamore 34, the first yacht designed and built by Antonini Navi, marks our entry into a highly competitive segment, where we have positioned ourselves as a credible and capable alternative to other steel yacht builders working in this category.”

Simone Antonini, the shipyard’s founder and CEO, concluded: “The launch of the Seamore 34 achieves a significant milestone for our family on a journey we began several years ago, one that was strongly backed by myself and my son Walter, who is now the shipyard’s general director. Antonini Navi is the tangible manifestation of our ability to turn a vision into a real product. Construction has always been part of our DNA, and this will continue into the future."

Construction is also well underway on the shipyard's custom 32-metre explorer known as Hanaa, which is scheduled for delivery this year.
