Turkish shipyard Bering Yachts has unveiled the Bering 130: a new 40-metre yacht model positioned as the yard's first "Vector Yacht".
Designed in collaboration with Swiss studio Valentin Design, the shipyard claims the vessel "does not fit neatly into existing explorer or motor yacht classifications". As such, it has been developed on the idea that range, seaworthiness and self-sufficiency do not come at the expense of spatial quality, comfort or a polished design language - blurring the lines between the strong explorer yacht characteristics and the refined motor yacht forms.
The 40-metre is characterised by curved, harmonious lines, genuine circumnavigation capability and an onboard experience designed to suit how guests live and travel. The profile remains closer to a contemporary motor yacht, though its robust steel hull has been engineered like that of an explorer yacht, boasting extended range, serious tender-carrying capacity and stability.
"The B130 achieves a clear balance between Bering’s explorer DNA and purposefully crafted exterior lines,” explained the Valentin Design team. "Particular attention was given to creating useful interior and exterior spaces with unobstructed views of the surrounding environment. The result is genuine added value, features, spaces and amenities presented in a well-proportioned package."
On board, the design teams ensured that movement between decks and guest and crew spaces was configured as one continuous system. Flexibility has also been given to the accommodation layout; owners may opt for a dedicated owner's deck with a full-beam master suite and adaptable guest cabins of varying sizes and positions on board. Generous outdoor spaces are suited for both privacy and entertaining.
Crew quarters have been carefully crafted to guarantee efficiency, demonstrated through ample cabins and storage intended for lengthy durations at sea.
Founder and CEO of Bering Yachts, Alexei Mikhailov, added: “I believe the Bering 130 ranks among the strongest 40-metre motor yachts available today. The lifestyle it offers, the features it delivers and the carefully considered layout that creates exceptional comfort for owners, guests and crew set it apart in this size range. Multiple configuration options make it adaptable to specific needs without sacrificing design excellence.”
The Bering 130 joins the shipyard's Superyacht Division alongside the popular Bering 165 model and is now available for order. It will be presented at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show by the collaborating companies.
According to BOATPro data, Bering Yachts has five yachts currently under construction, including two Bering 88 builds scheduled for delivery this year. Earlier this year, the shipyard announced a construction milestone for the first unit from its flagship 49.4-metre Bering 165 explorer series.
