There's a new queen on the brokerage scene. The 115.1-metre Lürssen superyacht Ahpo – an endearment for "Grandmother" in Chinese – rejoined the brokerage market this month, becoming the world's most expensive superyacht for sale. Big builds seemed to trend this April, with a 101-metre Feadship and the largest Benetti B.Now model to date also hitting the headlines.
In more sensational news, a Florida jury awarded a cumulative $2,888,300 in damages to three former crew members of the 63-metre Rossinavi superyacht Utopia IV, while the salvage of the 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian forged ahead, with the wreckage expected to be fully recovered by the end of May.

Recovery works commenced as of 30 April 2025, according to an official order signed by Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Alessandro Barra. BOAT International has followed the Bayesian story from 19 August 2024, when the 56-metre Perini Navi was hit by bad weather and sank off the coast of Sicily.

According to eyewitnesses, the yacht became "completely beached" on the sandbar and quickly began to list on her starboard side.

The 115.1-metre Lürssen superyacht Ahpo rejoined the brokerage market with Edmiston and Moran Yacht & Ship. Asking €340,000,000, she is now the most expensive superyacht currently listed for sale.
A behemoth build, Ahpo houses a sprawling beach club with a waterside lounge, a 12-seater cinema with a starlit ceiling and a protected winter garden – complete with abundant greenery – for guests to enjoy in all weather. The full suite of images can be found in the link below.

A Florida jury has awarded a cumulative $2,888,300 in damages to three former crew members of the 63-metre Rossinavi superyacht Utopia IV, as a result of a lawsuit against the yacht and Utopia Yachting LLC.
All three crew were on board Utopia IV on the night of 23 December 2021, when the vessel collided with a gasoline tanker approximately 15 miles north-northwest of New Providence Island.

Designer Tony Castro released a 75-metre motorsailer concept known as Peregrine. The project is characterised by its wind-powered sailing capabilities and solar panels, with hybrid power offering "[near] unlimited range" for exploration in remote tropical climates.
"[This concept] allows for 'no-limits' exploration, just as the Peregrine Falcon navigates the sky with boundless freedom," explained Castro.

German yard Abeking & Rasmussen offered a first look inside the 70.2-metre Lürssen superyacht Starfire (ex Saint Nicolas) following her year-long refit and redelivery.
Works – which began in February 2024 – were comprehensive, including a massive overhaul of the sundeck, which now features a gym and spa with sauna, cold-plunge pool and massage area.
