Turkish yard Bilgin Yachts has signed the contract for its latest 53-metre project, known only as NB97. The agreement was concluded at this year's Monaco Yacht Show with client Mr. Jorge Saca Bahaia of brokerage firm Maspor Brothers Ltd.
The 499GT superyacht is the latest in the boutique yard's expanding 50-metre offering and has been billed a "masterful evolution" its proven design platform.
Turkish studio Unique Yacht Design is responsible for both exterior styling and naval architecture, while Milan-based designer Hot Lab has been commissioned to create the interior concept. The sale coincides with the world premiere of the 49.9-metre Camila, which drew significant attention on the docks at Port Hercules.
It's been a busy season for Bilgin, which, according to BOATPro, currently has 12 yachts in build or on order. In May, the yard delivered Camila, the second yacht in its Bilgin 163 series, followed in July by the handover of Al Reem, the 80.1-metre third and final yacht in the acclaimed Bilgin 263 series.
