Italian builder Amer Yachts has shared the interior images of the first unit from its Amer 42 Explorer series, Even Further, following her global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival and attendance at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The 41.5-metre design was first unveiled at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show in what marked the debut of the Italian shipyard's new custom steel line. Even Further entered construction in July of the same year at the Permare facilities in Sanremo, Italy, hitting the water two years later in September 2025.

Miami-based designer Luiz de Basto is behind her exterior and interior design, while the build's naval architecture and engineering were completed by the yard's in-house teams in collaboration with Optima Design.

The explorer features a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and Ice Class certification for long-range cruising

Even Further combines explorer capability with a Mediterranean-inspired profile, featuring a high bow, 270-degree wheelhouse visibility and a 17-metre flybridge spanning more than 40 per cent of the yacht's overall length. Chosen in favour of a lower deck beach club, the deck serves as a central hub for living and entertaining with a sunbathing area, seating, bar and a lounge. This is just one of the exterior deck spaces used as such, with the yard noting it to make her "pass as a traditional yacht at first glance".

She adopts a distinctive explorer-style exterior, though de Basto previously explained that he was careful to ensure the model maintains a superyacht appeal. "Just glancing at her profile, no one would realise that [they are] looking at a fully capable explorer," the designer commented.

Inside, de Basto has championed his personal design language, utilising a light colour palette, warm integrated lighting and a range of textural materials to enhance natural light throughout bright and open-plan living areas.

The layout remains mostly conventional; the lower deck is home to the engine room aft, guest cabins midships and crew quarters forward, while the main deck stretches the saloon and dining area. A standout here is her atrium, which wraps around a tall glass staircase and leads to the upper deck's skylounge and secondary al fresco dining space. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five cabins, with further quarters for a crew of nine.

The project was commissioned for a repeat client of de Basto, who previously owned the 46.5-metre Inace yacht Far Far Away. "The owner and his family travelled extensively with Far Far Away, and after selling the boat, in 2018 we started sketching ideas for the new, larger and improved version," de Basto said.

Tender-carrying capability formed a major part of the owner's brief, with space for two eight-metre tenders and personal watercraft (including jet skis) housed in an unusual dedicated foredeck well. Twin 8,000-kilogram cranes integrated into the superstructure handle launch and recovery, while a touch-and-go helipad further enhances the yacht's expedition credentials.

According to the shipyard, during her sea trials, Even Further recorded fuel consumption of just 60 litres per hour while cruising at 9.5 knots in Eco Mode. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS40 pod drives linked to four D13 IMO III engines, she boasts a range of 8,900 nautical miles in the same mode from her 56,300-litre fuel capacity, in conditions of "exceptional comfort and quietness".

The yacht's high levels of efficiency are said to be the result of an optimised hull paired with a lightweight superstructure and an integrated propulsion package developed in collaboration with Volvo Penta.

The yacht features a beam of 9.8 metres

In addition to her Eco Mode performance, Even Further has a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 16.3 knots.

Exclusive data from BOATPro reveals six yachts currently under construction at Amer Yachts, including the 49.5-metre Amer 499 Spacesplorer (hull 499S/11), which moved to outfitting at the start of this week.
