The 43 metre Codecasa project known as C124 has started construction on speculation at the Italian shipyard in Viareggio.

Designed in-house at Codecasa, C124 is the sixth unit in the shipyard's 43 metre series and will be built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.

The sub-500GT superyacht has been designed by the shipyard's in-house design team to Lloyds Class with a vertical bow and large windows throughout.

The interior is home to two saloons, an owner's suite positioned forward on the main deck and four guest cabins, comprised of two double cabins and two twins with an extra bunk. Additional accommodation can sleep a crew of five.

C124 will be powered by a pair of Caterpillar C32 Acert engines for a top speed of 16 knots at light displacement and has a range of 4,000 nautical miles when cruising at a more moderate 11 knots.

C124 is one of three yachts currently under construction at the Codecasa shipyard, including the 58 metre C127, which was also started on speculation, and the 43 metre F77 which is due for delivery this summer.

C124 is slated for delivery in 2024.
