42m Conrad sailing yacht designed by Frank Neubelt on track for 2027 delivery

Polish builder Conrad Shipyard has provided a construction update on CO.ONE 140, the first unit from its new 41.8-metre flagship flybridge sailing yacht range.

Construction is well underway on the build's hull and superstructure, with their joining scheduled for April. Simultaneously, the yard has begun prefabrication works for outfitting the crew areas, while the interior layout is now in the final stage of coordination with the owner. Delivery is slated for 2027.

The semi-custom range has been conceived as a new-generation world cruiser, said to combine "advanced sailing performance with superyacht-level comfort." The exterior design, hull lines, styling and interior concept are owed to renowned yacht designer Frank Neubelt, founder of Frank Neubelt Yacht Design (FNYD), in collaboration with his superyacht project agency German Yacht Couture (GYC).

CO.ONE 140 was commissioned in 2022 by an experienced sailing yacht owner and spent a year in development with GYC and FNYD before signing the agreement with the Polish shipyard. In a series of firsts, the project marks the first sailing yacht to be built by the yard and the first flybridge performance sailing yacht of its size.

Designed with performance and sustainability in mind, the yacht is being built in lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre under RINA class, chosen for its optimal strength, weight efficiency and long-range capabilities. CO.ONE 140 will feature an advanced hybrid propulsion with high-capacity battery systems and intelligent energy management, capable of regenerating energy during sailing. Meanwhile, an optimised sail plan has been designed to minimise engine use and emissions during long-distance cruising.

CO.ONE 140's profile features a large swim platform that serves as an owner's terrace with direct access from the master suite, while further accommodation sleeps six guests and a crew of six. Dual staircases lead to the main deck, where guests will find a shaded exterior lounge that connects to the main saloon to create a single indoor-outdoor space. Large windows run the length of the saloon with two sets of helm stations, one on the sundeck and one on the main deck.

“The CO.ONE 140 represents Conrad Shipyard’s strategic expansion into the sailing segment and a return to the shipyard’s roots and long-standing experience in sailing yacht construction," said Conrad Shipyard project manager and sailing superyacht expert, Marcin Czarniawski. "Following the recent international successes, award-winning projects and the expansion of our motor yacht portfolio, we are proud to undertake such a complex project."

Czarniawski added: "The CO.ONE 140 sets a new benchmark for flybridge sailing yachts in its size category and is designed for owners who value autonomy, performance and responsible luxury. Through this project, we demonstrate Conrad Shipyard’s capability to deliver the most advanced yacht constructions, both sailing and motor.”

The update follows the launch of the third unit in its C144s superyacht series, the 44.3-metre Project Moonlight, which hit the water last year as Poland's largest new build of 2025.
