Dutch yard Damen Yachting has officially launched its fourth YS53 model at its new build facilities in Antalya, Turkey. Designed entirely by Damen Yachting's in-house team, the 53-metre support yacht will now enter final outfitting and sea trials ahead of delivery to her owner later this year.
Designed to offer "crucial support" to an owner's existing superyacht fleet, the 53.3-metre series features an expansive main deck aft complete with a 15-tonne crane capable of handling submersibles, large tenders and other heavy-duty equipment. A wave-slicing axe bow and forward-raking windows result in increased durability and visibility, while pronounced spray rails protect any sensitive equipment from saltwater.
Meanwhile, a volume of 498GT houses accommodation for eight guests and 10 crew, plus the captain.
The fourth YS53 was sold in September 2025, just a few weeks after the delivery of the third YS53 unit, Emotional. The second unit in the YS53 series, Five Oceans, was also sold during 2025 and is featured in the September 2025 issue of BOAT International magazine.
“What makes the YS53 design successful is the way it expands what owners can do during their time on the water. By providing additional space for crew, tenders, toys and specialist equipment, the platform enables more ambitious programmes and greater operational freedom," said Pim Oostra, Damen Yachting project manager for YS5304. "With this fourth 53-metre Yacht Support now launched, the continued development of the series clearly demonstrates the growing role of dedicated support vessels. As owners look to explore further and operate more extensively, the role of a support vessel within the wider fleet becomes increasingly important.”
The fourth YS53 was on the market with Fraser, asking €29,500,000.
According to BOATPro, Damen Yachting has four yacht projects on order or under construction, including a custom explorer yacht which will feature hybrid propulsion for "zero-emission cruising".
