Dutch yard Damen Yachting has announced the sale of its fourth YS53 model. The support yacht is already under construction at its new build facilities in Antalya, Turkey, with delivery scheduled for spring 2026.
Designed to offer "crucial support" to an owner's existing superyacht fleet, the 53.3-metre series features an expansive main deck aft complete with a 15-tonne crane capable of handling submersibles, large tenders and other heavy-duty equipment. A wave-slicing axe bow and forward-raking windows result in increased durability and visibility, while pronounced spray rails protect any sensitive equipment from saltwater.
Meanwhile, a volume of 499GT houses accommodation for eight guests and 10 crew, including the captain. The news of this sale comes just a few weeks after the delivery of the third YS53 unit, Emotional, which will be on display at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
The second unit in the YS53 series, Five Oceans, was also sold this year and features in the September 2025 issue of BOAT International magazine.
"This YS53 is the perfect addition to the owner's existing fleet and provides the extension of facilities the owner is looking to achieve with the addition of a support vessel," said Jan van Hogerwou, the yard's sales director for North America. "We would like to thank Stuart Larsen [from Fraser] for his collaboration throughout this project. We look forward to the remaining build period as we prepare for delivery."
According to BOATPro, Damen Yachting has three yacht projects on order or under construction, including a custom explorer yacht which will feature hybrid propulsion for "zero-emission cruising".
