First Ferretti 860 yacht hits the water

The first unit of the Ferretti 860 series has been launched eight months after the project was announced.

The 26.95 metre yacht was commissioned by an Italian owner who will spend the remainder of the summer season cruising the Mediterranean ahead of the Cannes Yachting Festival where the Ferretti 860 will make its global debut.

The Ferretti 860 is the third yacht developed in collaboration with Filippo Salvetti, who designed the vessel's exterior, and Ideaeitalia, who created the interior design concepts. Its profile features Art Deco-inspired curves and bulwarks cut-outs offering uninterrupted outward views from the main saloon and dining area.

The yacht's aft deck offers a generous seating area for al fresco dining, while above, the flybridge features an exterior helm station to starboard along with a sit-up bar and L-shaped sofa. A third al fresco lounge can be found at the bow.

The owner opted for the Classic Mood interior package with a palette of warm and dark colours. While the interior layout is yet to be revealed, the standard configuration features three double cabins on the lower deck and accommodates six guests, with the master suite amidships and the crew cabins forward.

The Ferretti 860 offers two propulsion packages: a pair of MAN V12 2000 engines with a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots; or a pair of MAN V12 1800 engines for a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
