Launched in May, 44m superyacht Monokini represents a rebirth Baglietto, and we were on board of the yard's latest launch at a recent press debut in La Spezia, Italy.

Monokini is the first yacht launched in the new era of the yard, and she marks a clear point of separation between the past and the future of this 160-year-old Italian shipyard. She features exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski Design - who has a long-standing relationship designing for the yard so is suited to take combine Baglietto's traditions with its future design trends. Interior design is by Alberto Mancini with naval architecture and engineering in-house by Baglietto.

'While addressing today's markets and potential owners are very different from the past, all this is done in the name of Baglietto’s tradition,' says Baglietto CEO Diego Michele Deprati. 'The shipyard is now held by the Gavio Group, which also includes Cerri Cantieri Navali, then Baglietto new builds, involved in construction of yacht from thirty-eight to fifty meters in the fast range and from forty-three to sixty-five meters for displacement range, Baglietto Navy for military small ships and Baglietto Refit.'

The new range of superyachts in build and under development at Baglietto share a focus on recreational life at sea, with enhanced outdoor living areas, spacious and easily accessible toy storage and well-thought-out beach clubs.
