German Naval Yards (GNY) has announced a new contract to build the hull and superstructure of a 100-metre-plus Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht.
According to GNY, it will deliver a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to the fellow German shipyard for its new build superyacht project, which was announced earlier this year.
According to BOATPro, the unnamed project will exceed 4,500GT, though it is unknown whether it will surpass Abeking & Rasmussen's current flagship, the 118.2-metre Liva O.
"This endeavour not only highlights the strong collaboration between the two companies but also showcases their capability to successfully deliver complex projects in the global yacht-building industry," GNY said of the announcement.
In addition to this project, GNY is continuing work on the 114-metre Project ELF, which it acquired in October 2025.
Part of the European group CMN Naval, GNY is perhaps best known for its work on the iconic, 142.8-metre Sailing Yacht A, and recently received a non-binding offer from naval defence company Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems to acquire the shipyard.
