Dutch yard Heesen Yachts has announced that its 55-metre Steel superyacht Project Frida, also known as YN 21055 throughout construction, has been officially christened Pa’lante. She will make her official debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show.
The update comes following the announcement of the yacht's sale in March, after which she embarked on sea trials in the North Sea, with the yard revealing that she had a "flawless performance". Pa'lante was launched from the yard's facilities in Oss, the Netherlands, in August 2025, two years after construction began on spec in 2023.
The Steel series' distinctive "shark tooth" superstructure is courtesy of Omega Architects, combined with floor-to-ceiling windows for bright, airy 760GT interiors modelled after the "golden age of ocean travel". The yard's patented Fast Displacement Hull Form continues on Pa'lante, developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Heesen's in-house team of engineers.
Italian studio Luca Dini Design & Architecture is behind the new build's interior, with initial renderings showcasing a palette of rich, warm materials in the living spaces, including nature wengé wood. Following the yacht's sale, Heesen's interior engineering department collaborated closely with Silvia Margutti, lead architect of the studio, to tailor Pa'lante's interiors to her owner's lifestyle and taste.
A statement from the yard noted: "The design provides a modern interpretation of maritime heritage, using dark woods in contrast with light tones, with specific locations designed to display a contemporary art collection."
Accommodation is across six cabins, with a full-beam owner's apartment complete with a large en suite, private study and veranda. Four guest cabins are accommodated on the lower deck, with a versatile fifth cabin placed on the bridge deck.
At 55 metres, exterior spaces are plentiful, spanning a sundeck with a large whirlpool, bar and multiple lounge areas, a skylounge that connects to an aft terrace and the beach club, which provides direct access to the water from the large swim platform.
The yacht meets "the highest commercial standards" of the Large Yacht Code 3, powered by MTU 4000 M63 engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. A Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system ensures full compliance with IMO Tier III emission regulations.
Jeroen van der Meer, CEO of Heesen, concluded: “We are delighted to welcome Pa’lante to the fleet and her owners to the Heesen family. We wish fair winds and following seas to this beautiful vessel for her maiden season in the Mediterranean. We look forward to her official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.”
According to BOATPro, Heesen has eight superyacht projects on order or actively under construction, the largest of which is the 57-metre, full-custom Project Setteesettanta.
