JFA Yachts introduces 26m Long Island 86 Power catamaran

1 April 2022 • Written by Katia Damborsky

Continuing its line of Long Island catamarans, French shipyard JFA has unveiled the largest power offering in the range. The 26.2 metre Long Island 86 Power will have the same aluminium hull and composite deck as smaller models in the series, with design by Marc Lombard Design in collaboration with JFA Yachts.

Alongside impressive dimensions and high-performance cruising, the Long Island 86 Power will also be fitted with solar panels to provide power while the yacht is at anchor, thus reducing the need for the generator.

Interior design comes courtesy of Darnet Design, and the French studio will make full use of the yacht’s 11.3 metre beam to create a light and airy on-board ambience. In terms of accommodation, the motor yacht will have four cabins for up to eight guests.

A large fly bridge defines the yacht’s profile, with a helm station, a sheltered bar and a generous lounge area. Owners can also opt to enclose the wheelhouse to create a more sheltered environment.

Unusually for a yacht of this size, the Long Island 86’ is equipped with a jacuzzi on the fordeck. Opportunities for alfresco living continue on the aft deck, where there is dining and lounging options.

When the tender isn’t stored on the aft platform, this area can function as an additional living space.

The Long Island 86 Power can be offered with a conventional or a hybrid propulsion system.

Two Long Island 85 Sailing and one 78 Power yacht have already been built by the French shipyard.
